My name is Michael Heimermann and I am a Life Scout with BSA Scout Troop 18 of Lewiston, MN. I am working towards my goal of becoming an Eagle Scout. Part of the requirements for the rank of Eagle is to complete a project that benefits my community and shows leadership skills. The project that I have chosen, is to construct a 12-hole, Par 3 Disc Golf Course at the Crossings Center. I selected my project and location based on the long tradition that the Crossings Center has played in the Lewiston community and surrounding area. My goal is to create a community asset that can be used by any individual, regardless of age or skill level. A project that will allow you to enjoy the beauty of the area during the Spring, Summer or Fall with your family and friends.
I have an ambitious goal to raise $10,000 for the project costs and to establish a fund to ensure it is maintained for a long useful life!
I ask you to consider a donation of any amount. It will go towards the cost of materials needed to construct the course tee pads, purchase the baskets, basket markers, signage, discs and disc storage. Since the Crossings Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, your donation is tax-deductible!
Once again, I humbly ask that you partner with me, the Boy Scouts and The Crossings Center to create a truly unique and worthwhile community asset! Thank you very much for your consideration!
